What makes an Anime RPG Game?
JRPGs, Western RPGs, and Action RPGs all have their own unique characteristics. These days they’re hard to tell apart. An Anime Role Playing game also has it’s ‘unique’ styles.
As traditional JRPGs go, their magic lies in their ability to take players into a colorful and vibrant fantasy world. Players take on the role of protagonist of a well written plot with D&D style tropes.
Anime Styled Role Playing Games are becoming very diverse in an effort to capture more of the offshore market.
“Anime” implies using Japanese traditions and drawing styles (even when used by English speakers; in Japan, it’s used for all animation, whether it’s Japanese or not).
The anime-style and looks can now be replicated in games, so you’ll see games like SAO, Code Vein, Genshin Impact, Honkai Star Rail, PGR, etc.
What used to be 3D or 2D computer games like Final Fantasy games is now ‘anime-styled’ like SAO/Genshin.
