As a fan of anime shooter games, I’m hoping other anime shooter games will be as good as this game. Snowbreak Containment Zone, the game looks great, not perfect, but I had a blast playing it.
Although FPS and TPS are some of the most popular genres in mobile gaming, third-person shooters are pretty much untouched by Gacha developers, for now.
It’s a lot of fun, and despite its pretty heavy graphics, it runs surprisingly well on mobile. Fast movement, difficulty tuned towards mobile play and adjustable graphics.
If you’re playing on your phone, I highly recommend getting a Bluetooth controller or a backbone. It just feels so much better with a controller.
What is the story of Snowbreak Containment Zone?
You play as an adjutant on a space station that was cut off from human contact. It’s a third-person shooter with gacha mechanics. As soon as you land, you find yourself in an apocalyptic landscape, and Operator Lyfe Wednesday guides you through the city.
The Recorded Gameplay is from a mobile device, hence the quality is not as good as the PC Version.
The failure of Snowbreak Containment Zone
A game like this was set to change the gacha landscape forever. The first Snowbreak trailer was awesome! Almost everyone had high expectations for this game.
But players got hit hard by reality on release day. Disappointing graphics, PC installation problems, lack of end game content. The daylies lack a sense of purpose.
Even the main story quests, they could have done a better job of storytelling. It’s sometimes difficult to follow.
The cheap UI, cliché storyline, shooting mechanics, and poor interactive experience make this feel more like it’s still in Early Access.
Many players quit in the first few weeks.
How did they bring the players back?
People love fanservice, and many have returned to the game solely because of Katya. The new trailer hooked me in right away.
Give the people what they want, and money will flow in.

As they said, the Developers are working on character models more, adding wedding and school girl skins, since those were the most popular in the Eastern Regions. New features to the dorm, like sleeping with the character (taking naps). There’s no final word on these, but they’re all possibilities.
Why do Gacha games have Fanservice?
As long as the fanservice is there in the characters, “mediocre” games can survive, but if there’s no fanservice and the game isn’t good, people will go elsewhere.
The developers want you to buy skins for your favorite characters, and the only way to do that is by making them look smashing…. or smashable!
We might be able to play it in public if there’s a censorship toggle in the settings. – Just kidding
