A List of Good Ecchi Isekai Comedy Anime

If you’ve ever dreamt of being a hero, wished you had your own story, or found yourself stuck in your everyday life, you might be the perfect candidate for falling into the rabbit hole of isekai anime. Here is a list of some good Isekai comedy anime.

“Isekai” means “different world” in Japanese. It’s about people getting transported to another realm, from magical medieval lands to futuristic alien planets.

It’s not without tropes. Many stories have overpowered protagonists who quickly rise to fame. But even these familiar elements can be comforting.

1. KonoSuba: God’s Blessing on This Wonderful World!

He’s not your typical hero, Kazuma Sato. He’d rather stay on his computer than save the world. He’s hit by a traffic accident (or was it divine intervention?) and offered a chance at a fantasy world by the goddess Aqua. With the catch, he can only bring one thing…and Kazuma picks Aqua.

The dysfunctional adventure begins. Aqua, a useless goddess with a bottomless appetite for praise; Megumin, a mage obsessed with explosions; Darkness, a crusader, loves taking hits, because she gets a thrill from pain.

There’s no way to survive this crew’s incompetence and Aqua’s bottomless debts on their quest to defeat the Demon King.

2. Isekai Ojisan (Uncle from Another World)

It’s an animated comedy and heartwarming story about an Uncle from another world Who’s been whisked away to fantastic realms but has returned to a world that has changed.

Isekai Ojisan: From Coma to Console – A Hilarious Look at Reverse Isekai

It turns out Takafumi’s uncle was not just asleep – he was whisked into a new world called Granbabel, where he battled monstrous creatures and wielded fantastic powers.

Isekai Ojisan

A very good Isekai comedy anime you’ve never seen before!

Isekai Ojisan is a refreshing take on the isekai genre that focuses on the protagonist’s return to reality after a long isekai adventure. Both isekai fans and newcomers will enjoy this show. Get some snacks, get ready for culture shock comedy, and see Uncle’s epic (and hilarious) return. A very good Isekai comedy anime!

3. Delicious in Dungeon: An Anime Adventure Where Food is the True Quest

In search of his lost sister, Laios ventures into a dungeon. The dangers aren’t the only thing he faces. With food scarce, Laios realizes he needs to eat the monsters he encounters in order to survive.

Danjon Meshi – Cooking in the Dungeon

Laios, with his party of a skilled but prideful Halfling thief, a resourceful Dwarf, and a prodigious Elf. As they delve deeper, they uncover the history of this cursed labyrinth.

With its monster encounters, “Delicious in Dungeon” isn’t afraid to get graphic. But the real star is the food! Each monstrous meal is prepared and presented beautifully, making you almost want a taste (though you may want to stick to regular ingredients at home).

Danjon Meshi – Falin

“Delicious in Dungeon” isn’t your typical dark fantasy. The anime combines thrilling battles with surprisingly detailed cooking sequences. You’ll see how they cook fantastical creatures, from fire-breathing lizards to slime (don’t worry, it’s actually kind of tasty).

4. Cautious Hero: The Hero Is Overpowered but Overly Cautious

It’s great when heroes rise to the challenge in fantastical worlds, but what if they were so cautious that it became a challenge by itself? That’s the quirky premise of Cautious Hero: The Hero is Overpowered but Overly Cautious, a funny, heartwarming anime.

Seiya Ryuuguuin, Hero of Overpreparation

Seiya, summoned by the Goddess Ristarte to save Gaeabrande from the Wave of Destruction, possesses incredible potential. His most defining trait isn’t his strength, but his crippling caution.

Cautious Hero: The Hero Is Overpowered but Overly Cautious

It’s like Isekai on a whole new level

Isekai isn’t the same as it used to be, so Cautious Hero is a refreshing spin. The story tells a story of a hero whose greatest strength (and weakness) is his unwavering caution.

So, if you’re looking for an anime that’s both funny and thought-provoking, Cautious Hero is a great choice.

5. Handyman Saitou in Another World

Forget the overpowered mages and hot-blooded heroes, the protagonist, Saitou, is just a handyman. When Saitou arrives in a new world thanks to a chance encounter with a truck, he finds he is not being able to wield a sword or cast spells.

So he tries to be useful to his party members in other ways, he fixes broken armor, picks locks, and even reminds Morlock of his spells (happens with old age).

Saitou’s practicality and resourcefulness become the secret weapons that keep the party alive.

Aside from fixing leaky roofs in a fantasy setting, Handyman Saitou in Another World explores themes like family, and the importance of the little things. His genuine desire to help creates a heartwarming sense of camaraderie within the party. Despite his shortcomings, he sees the potential in everyone.

Saitou’s mission is simple: be useful, and in doing so, become an irreplaceable part of his new world.

6. Do You Love Your Mom and Her Two-Hit Multi-Target Attacks?

Do You Love Your Mom and Her Two-Hit Multi-Target Attacks?” (also known as “Okaa-san Online“) transports not only teenager Masato, but also his overly-protective mom, Mamako.

Masato fantasizes about epic battles and grand quests, but Mamako is going to protect him from any monster attacks. With his internal struggles to be a hero and deal with Mamako’s overbearing antics, Masato is a hilarious character.

It’s like a mother-son dynamic mixed with fantasy tropes, with ecchi humor being more about awkward situations than titillation.

In some episodes, the boundaries are pushed to the max. A bathhouse scene with a mixed entrance (big no-no in Japan! ), revealing outfit try-ons, and a slime monster that attacks only women’s clothes.

In this fantasy setting, a teen boy and his smothering mom have perfect chemistry.

Don’t worry about fanservice, just focus on the comedy!
