AI art isn’t art, it’s more like a high-tech image blender. It’s great that AI art has possibilities, but it’s also got its drawbacks. One of the main criticisms is that it doesn’t have the emotional depth of traditional artwork. It seems like a lot of people aren’t fans of AI art because it’s not “real art”.
It lacks ‘The Human Touch’
While AI can copy styles, it can’t capture human creativity and imagination.
In the end, AI art destroys the gap between artists and the rest of us. It lets people who don’t know how to make art make it without having to learn.
Will AI destroy Artistic Creativity?

Art Styles & AI art generators

In short, the AI system takes art from several artists and mixes them up to make AI artwork.
Why AI-Generated Imagery Isn’t “Real” Art
Art has never been just about the final picture. It’s about translation. When a human painter puts brush to canvas or a digital artist spends hours refining lines and colors, every choice comes from real life—feelings, memories, and intent. A single brushstroke can carry tiredness, sadness, joy, or quiet longing.
There’s No Soul in the Stroke
Generative AI doesn’t work that way. It has no consciousness, no senses, and no personal experience. It simply calculates probabilities, figuring out which pixels usually sit next to which other pixels based on millions of images it has studied. Calling that ‘creative’ is a stretch.

For centuries people have valued paintings and drawings not only for how they look, but for the intention, skill, and personal story behind them. When you stand in front of a painting, you’re often connecting with the artist’s emotions and worldview. AI can make images, sure—but that doesn’t make them art in the same way a human can create art.
Art is more than pretty pixels. It’s a human act that needs intention, lived experience, effort, and self-expression. Even when an AI image looks impressive, those core pieces are missing.
We connect with art because we sense another human mind behind it.
What is Real Art?
You can’t reduce art to typing prompts and relying on an algorithm based on other people’s (and developers’) work.
Imagination is something only a human can have, much like ….dreaming.
The whole idea of ‘art’ is translating something you feel inside, into something that exists on paper.
It doesn’t even matter what it is, whether it’s a sculpture, music, or writing, true art is about the creative process way more than it is about the final product.
A piece of art isn’t just about the final result; the process is important.

AI Destroys Real Art!
In a dystopian future, if all surgeries are performed by robots, there won’t be any skilled surgeons left to develop new techniques because there will be only mass-produced machines that can do only a few things well.
To make something truly revolutionary and new, you have to learn the fundamentals and work on it from the ground up.
If AI art becomes the norm, then it stifles those who might come up with anything new.

The Dangers of AI In the Future – Ghost In The Shell (1995)
Ghost In The Shell, The 1995 anime movie has a quote, “When you overspecialize, you breed in weakness. It’s slow death.”
Title: Ghost in the Shell
Production Studio: Production I.G.
Date: 1995
Here, in the future, most people have some cybernetic implants inside them.
Section 9, a law enforcement agency, realized its reliance on cyborgs was limiting it, so it had to diversify its talent pool.
The quote is from a conversation between Major Motoko Kusanagi and her subordinate Togusa.
During this conversation she mentioned how Togusa’s body and mind are almost completely human.
Many Section 9 employees, including Kusanagi are cyborgs.
As Kusanagi understands the inherent problems of standardized groupthink, she points out that it will be helpful to have Togusa’s “human” qualities.
